Our Services

Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

We provide patients, carers and the public with support and assistance to sort out problems and concerns.

Working within the Hospital, we are ideally located to liaise directly with clinicians, nurses and other staff to deal quickly with any issues raised.

Our services include:

  • Help to answer any questions patients may have about their planned stay in hospital.
  • Aiming to resolve problems that patients may have experienced either as an inpatient, outpatient or visitor to the hospital.
  • Assisting the patient and their family to access the Trust’s Complaints service if they have been unhappy with any aspect of their treatment or care.
  • To listen to concerns, suggestions or queries about our hospital services and feed them back to the Trust. Both positive and negative comments help us to continually improve the Patient Experience.
  • We also offer a service where family and friends can send email messages to patients who are currently staying with us via the PALS email address.
