This section contains information for patients and healthcare professionals about the hospital's services and areas of clinical expertise.
If you want to receive treatment from any of clinical services we provide at Whipps Cross University Hospital, you must be referred by your GP. This does not include emergency treatment via our Emergency Department or the Emergency and Urgent Care Centre (EUCC).
If you don't have a GP, you will need to register. For a list of GPs, visit www.walthamforest.nhs.uk or www.redbridge.nhs.uk. You can also contact the NHS Outer North East London PALs (Patient Advice and Liaison Services) team for help on 020 8539 3939 (for Waltham Forest patients) or 0800 092 6995 (for Redbridge patients).
Your GP can now make an appointment using the Choose and Book service. Whipps Cross University Hospital is one of the leading trusts for the implementation of Choose and Book services in North East London and one of the leaders in the country.
This means the majority of our services are directly bookable on Choose and Book and means GPs will be able to find an appointment for patients within five to six weeks for routine appointments, two weeks for suspected cancer and two weeks for breast referrals.
